Ziggy was adopted by her foster carers over 18 months ago in the expectation she would live a long and happy life with them. Circumstances changed as the man in her life, to whom she bonded and spent a lot of time, died three months ago, and she has been grieving ever since.
The decision has been made to search for a new home and give her a chance at finding happiness again. She isn’t timid but suffers from anxiety and would do well in a house with a man who would walk her and spend time developing her confidence. She loved to play with balls and squeaky toys but has retreated into a world of endless and patient waiting, and the cycle needs to be broken.
She is a loving and affectionate dog, very smart and obedient, but at the moment she is existing, not living.
If you think you have the love and patience to bring her back to a fun-loving and energetic pet, please apply. She isn’t cat-friendly but has lived with another male greyhound, and her best friend is a feisty Jack Russell.
